So if you are planning to go to Sweden, take a little time to know about their delicious cuisine and traditional gastronomy. Just to begin, Sweden is one of the heaviest coffee drinking countries in the world and the milk consuption is the highest in the world, but if you don't like coffee or milk, well the Swedish would offer you some of their most popular drinks: Aqua Vitae, [Akvavit] Skandinavian vodka that is, and Absolut Vodka is a favorite as well.

About the breakfast, it usually consists of half sandwiches, made with toasts with butter, and topped with hard cheese, cold nuts, caviar or messmor. Filmjolk [a kind of fermented milk] otherwise yogurt and grot [porridge] are very popular.

There are two main southern cities Göteborg and Malmo, both excellent gastronomic destinations. Göteborg is famous for its exquisite fish particularly the shell fish, also lobster, crab and oysters can be a great sea food platter. Malmo for its well served food like fried goose and fried eel to mention some of their specialties.
